Besides, who knows what she might have done to deserve it. His current wife is another matter entirely. Patricia Largay Rowland brought two sons Ryan Largay and Scott Largay Jr. to the marriage and their activities have both provoked and avenged the Governor's violent tendencies. For the last couple of years, the Governor's mansion on Prospect Avenue in Hartford has been the scene of Animal House like bacchanalia. One witness tells Scandalmonger that last year, during a state cabinet meeting the Governor couldn't help noticing the distinct aroma of marijuana wafting in from his private residence upstairs. Taking decisive, executive action, the Governor sent a state trooper up to roust (but not arrest) his stepsons and their posse of derelict friends. That night, the Governor, according to his stepsons' former friend who was still with them at dinner, castigated the recalcitrant delinquents so emphatically that he wound up slapping their mother.
Tension in the official residence grew to the point where on Thanksgiving night of 2002, the Governor's 18 year old stepson, Ryan abetted by his 16 year old brother Scott beat the Governor so badly that he suffered a broken arm and had to stay at the hospital. After that incident, the stepsons were moved into their own "cottage" at state expense on a property adjacent to the mansion on the aptly named Asylum Street. It is there that Ryan, a dropout from both the Forman School in Litchfeild and the Walkinson School in Hartford (which is currently suing Ryan's mother and the Governor for nonpayment of tuition) parks his speedy Subaru WRX. Under round-the-clock surveillance by Connecticut State Troopers a steady stream of pubescent girls and other minors go to the kids' pad to score pot and ecstasy. Scandalmonger is watching!

On Rosie's Nemesis Dan Brewster
There are some fights where both combatants are so repugnant that you just want to grab some popcorn and root for them both to kill each other. No, I'm not referring to the Iran/Iraq war of the eighties. This death match that, with luck, should drag on through the court system and the partisan media forum in between "Queen of Mean" Rosie O'Donnell and her former publisher, Dan Brewster, the CEO of the second rate media giant Gruner & Jahr...
